Tournament software for forensics

The tournament runs.
You get to watch it.

Every question at a tournament routes through the director. Tournaly gets the right information to the right person automatically, so the day runs without you standing in the middle of it.

The Tournaly rounds view: four rounds listed with their events, times, and how many competitors have committed to each.

The tournament is in the software.
The day is held together by hand.

Call it what it is. Duct tape. Every tournament runs on it, and the director is the one holding it together.

What changes on Saturday

Everyone hears it at once

When a round slips, the change reaches every coach, judge, and competitor at the same moment. No relay, no rumor.

Judges confirm before Saturday

Reminders, confirmations, and a live count of who has actually checked in. You find out Thursday, not at 8:25.

Nobody has to ask you

Room, time, judge, and opponent land in the hands of the person who needs them, before they think to look for you.

The day holds its shape

A fifteen minute delay stays a fifteen minute delay instead of compounding into an hour by round four.

You've answered the same question forty times before lunch. We built Tournaly so nobody has to ask it.

Joel Kendall, Founder of Tournaly

Seven years in forensics. Four as a competitor, three coaching. Long enough to have stood in a hallway with a dozen kids and no idea which room they were supposed to be in, and to know that somewhere in the building the answer already existed.

Tournaly is being built alongside working tournament directors, not guessed at from the outside. Every decision in the product comes from someone who has run the day and remembers where it went wrong.

Three steps

  1. 1

    Start from a template

Your events, rounds, and ballots are configured before you type anything.

  2. 2

    Publish your tournament

Schools register, judges commit, rooms fill in.

  3. 3

    Everyone gets what they need

Room assignments, schedule changes, judge confirmations, delays. Sent automatically, to the right person, without you in the middle.

We can tell everyone where to be because we're the ones assigning the rooms.

Communication only works when it comes from the system actually running the tournament. Tournaly is the whole thing, not a layer bolted onto it.

In the pilot

Two versions of the same Saturday

The one you know

Ninety minutes behind by lunch and never caught up. Two events cut for time. A tournament that tabulated perfectly and still felt like a mess, because nothing could be found out without hunting down a person. Coaches remember the confusion, not the bracket.

The one you planned

Round one starts at 8:30. Judges are where the ballot says they are. When round two slips fifteen minutes, everyone finds out at the same moment and it stays fifteen minutes. You go home at six. The only question you get all day is a coach asking whether you're hosting again next year.

We're taking a small number of tournaments into the Spring 2027 pilot.

Pilot tournaments are run with us, not handed to you. Tell us about yours and we'll be in touch before the season opens.

No spam. We'll email you about the pilot and nothing else.
